The Business Analyst acts as a consultant to deliver technology solutions in the Sales Management space. Based on an understanding business model and applications, this individual will evaluate project requests, make recommendations, meet with subject matter experts, prepare documentation & specifications for I/T, and participate in project implementation. Typical projects are 6 months long and require coordination across large cross-functional teams involving business and I/T organizations. Coordinate and drive stakeholder meetings to establish product vision and prioritize business requests. Develop and evaluate financial benefits along with key stakeholders. Recommend scope and tradeoff strategies. Develop requirements and standard I/T documentation suite, from initial vision through detailed specification. Identify risks & plan contingencies. Participate in Q/A, training, implementation, and drive Benefits Realization measurement and reporting. Maintain constant communication with project team and stakeholders.
Experience working between business and I/T groups managing large projects consisting of cross-functional teams. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to articulate both business and technology matters. Experience in a similar role in sales and/or a call center environment, including quote & order entry, finance or payment applications is a plus. Strong problem-solving and technical skills. Ability to establish priorities and work in ambiguous environments with minimal guidance. Experience with a structured product development philosophy such as MSF or CMM. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus at least 5 years related experience.
